From c266734448544a118ed80e47deaa2590131c7f84 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: John MacFarlane Date: Sun, 19 Sep 2021 12:09:51 -0700 Subject: Use pretty-simple to format native output. Previously we used our own homespun formatting. But this produces over-long lines that aren't ideal for diffs in tests. Easier to use something off-the-shelf and standard. Closes #7580. Performance is slower by about a factor of 10, but this isn't really a problem because native isn't suitable as a serialization format. (For serialization you should use json, because the reader is so much faster than native.) --- pandoc.cabal | 3 ++- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) (limited to 'pandoc.cabal') diff --git a/pandoc.cabal b/pandoc.cabal index 333d9afdc..7003abe2c 100644 --- a/pandoc.cabal +++ b/pandoc.cabal @@ -583,7 +583,8 @@ library xml-conduit >= 1.9.1.1 && < 1.10, unicode-collation >= 0.1.1 && < 0.2, zip-archive >= 0.2.3.4 && < 0.5, - zlib >= 0.5 && < 0.7 + zlib >= 0.5 && < 0.7, + pretty-simple >= 4.0 && < 4.1 if os(windows) && arch(i386) build-depends: basement >= 0.0.10, foundation >= 0.0.23 -- cgit v1.2.3
