2021-09-29Further test updates for switch to pretty-show.John MacFarlane1-10/+11
2021-09-28Switch from pretty-simple to pretty-show for native output.John MacFarlane1-20/+22
Update tests. Reason: it turns out that the native output generated by pretty-simple isn't always readable by the native reader. According to https://github.com/cdepillabout/pretty-simple/issues/99 it is not a design goal of the library that the rendered values be readable using 'read'. This makes it unsuitable for our purposes. pretty-show is a bit slower and it uses 4-space indents (non-configurable), but it doesn't have this serious drawback.
2021-09-21Use pretty-simple to format native output.John MacFarlane1-3/+33
Previously we used our own homespun formatting. But this produces over-long lines that aren't ideal for diffs in tests. Easier to use something off-the-shelf and standard. Closes #7580. Performance is slower by about a factor of 10, but this isn't really a problem because native isn't suitable as a serialization format. (For serialization you should use json, because the reader is so much faster than native.)
2020-11-20`commonmark_x`: replace `auto_identifiers` with `gfm_auto_identifiers`.John MacFarlane1-2/+2
`commonmark_x` never actually supported `auto_identifiers` (it didn't do anything), because the underlying library implements gfm-style identifiers only. Attempts to add the `autolink_identifiers` extension to `commonmark` will now fail with an error. Closes #6863.
2018-11-11Exactly match GitHub's identifier generating algorithm.John MacFarlane1-0/+4
See #5057.
2018-11-11Text.Pandoc.Shared: add parameter to uniqueIdent, inlineListToIdentifier.John MacFarlane1-4/+4
The parameter is Extensions. This allows these functions to be sensitive to the settings of `Ext_gfm_auto_identifiers` and `Ext_ascii_identifiers`. This allows us to use `uniqueIdent` in the CommonMark reader, replacing some custom code. It also means that `gfm_auto_identifiers` can now be used in all formats. Semantically, `gfm_auto_identifiers` is now a modifier of `auto_identifiers`; for identifiers to be set, `auto_identifiers` must be turned on, and then the type of identifier produced depends on `gfm_auto_identifiers` and `ascii_identifiers` are set. Closes #5057.
2018-06-29CommonMark reader: Handle ascii_identifiers extension (#4733)Anders Waldenborg1-0/+25
Non-ascii characters were not stripped from identifiers even if the `ascii_identifiers` extension was enabled (which is is by default for gfm). Closes #4742
